About Me

I fell in love with Michigan's Upper Peninsula the first time I saw Lake Superior. I was six years old. I knew it was the place I wanted to live. It has taken 50-some years, but the dream of living in the Upper Peninsula came true in 2014. I am home.
Me in 1964 on the shore of Whitefish Bay, Lake Superior.

You're welcome to follow me on my personal facebook page where I regularly post pictures of our explorations of the north central area of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Michigan's Upper Peninsula - From the clarity of the bluest sky you'll ever see to a night sky full of stars. Weather that will test your will and insects that will test your resolve. Pristine water in motion, from a babbling brook to the gales of November on Lake Superior. Space to explore, space to be alone, space for a gathering, space to breathe and all the while surrounded by natural beauty that will take your breath away. This land of extremes cleanses the soul of modern man.
